The United Nations Human Rights Council – A Critique and Early Assessment, Dr Rosa Freedman
Professor Rosa Freedman is Professor of Law, Conflict and Global Development at the University of Reading. She specialises in international human rights law and is the author of The United Nations Human Rights Council: an early assessment, published in March 2013, and Failing to Protect: the UN and the Politicisation of Human Rights, published by Hurst in May 2014. Rosa has written articles on legal matters for The Guardian’s ‘Comment is Free’ website and the Huffington Post. She has also provided research and expertise to a number of NGOs.
